IDEM to fund pollution prevention projects

September 5, 2019

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is accepting applications for Pollution Prevention Program grant funds. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 1, 2019 with grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000.

IDEM says the ideal grant proposal will provide measurable results for projects that will increase pollution prevention and elevate water and energy conservation. The department suggests “material substitution, product reformulation, process changes, or in-process recycling of wastes” as potential projects.

Applicants must be able to match or exceed the amount of the grant. Both public and private businesses located in Indiana are eligible for these grants, as well as municipalities and non-profit organizations.

Final decisions will be announced by February 2020. Applications are available here.
