The Coalition Against the Mid-States Corridor project will hold a public meeting Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Orleans Elementary School gym in Orleans.
The proposed highway project would run north from Owensboro, Kentucky and through Indiana’s Dubois County to connect to I-69. Opponents of the project said it could harm Indiana’s natural areas and the wildlife that inhabit them throughout the project area and affect farms, homes and businesses.
According to the coalition’s press release the meeting will include an update on the project and options on opposing the project.
A question-and-answer session will follow the meeting. Face masks are encouraged.
